Nolan, Dewey Schell Jr. -- Age 84, of Burton, died June 21, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday June 25 at South Flint Tabernacle G-3450 S. Saginaw St., Burton, Pastor Jason McGhee officiating. Interment will be held 10:45 AM Tuesday, June 26 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Saturday and 4-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. Visitation will also be held 10 -11 AM Monday at the church.Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warriors. Dewey was born October 27, 1933 in Philipp, Mississippi the son of Dewey Schell Nolan Sr. and Katie ( Pullum) Nolan. He married Elsie Johnston on June 1, 1963 in Burton. Dewey retired from General Motors after many years of service as a die maker. He was a member of South Flint Tabernacle. Dewey loved fishing and enjoyed his garden, he was a great handyman and could fix anything. He also loved camping and the outdoors. Dewey is survived by his wife, Elsie; 2 children, Greg (Ramona) Nolan of Gillette, WY, Douglas (Jeana) Nolan of Grand Blanc; son-in-law, Blake Verdun of Grand Blanc; 8 grandchildren, Erika (Steve) Glasco, Mackenzie Nolan, Bradley Nolan, Ross (Erica) Nolan, Jaela Verdun, Caleb Nolan, Trevor Nolan, Thaddeus Nolan; 2 great-grandchildren, Tyler Glasco and Parker Nolan Copping. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Angela Verdun; sisters, Juanita White and Loleda Bielec. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
