Lahar, DeWayne W. - Age 84, of Flushing, died March 10, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, March 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2 - 7:30PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. DeWayne was born June 15, 1933 in Flint the son of George and Zilda (Pero) Lahar. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Korea. He married Jacqueline Ruddell on January 4, 1969 in Flushing. He retired from A.C.Spark Plug in 1982 with 31 years of service. Mr. Lahar was a member of the Flushing Moose Lodge and American Legion. He liked to talk to everyone and they couldn't get away from him. Surviving are wife of 49 years Jackie; children, Denise Stokes, Donna Lahar (Brian Tharpe), Deborah Davidson; stepchildren, Vickie (Shea) Bradshaw, Bruce Penoyer, Kevin Penoyer, Deborah (Dave) Altman; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister Beth Kalakay; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
