Dennis A. Thomas

September 6, 1950 — January 18, 2006

THOMAS,    Dennis A., age 55 of Flint, died at home Wednesday, January 18, 2006.  Mr. Thomas was born in Flint on September 6, 1950 a son of Curtis C. and Betty (Murray) Thomas and has been an area resident most of his lifetime.  He was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School.  He attended Central Michigan University, then Marygrove College where he graduated with a Masters degree. In 1998 he and Christie Wildfong were married in Ludington, Michigan.  He started his teaching career in 1974 at the Beal City Parochial School. Later he went to the Montrose School District where he retired from the Kuehn Haven Middle School after 29 years of teaching.   He was a member of several teachers organizations including the Michigan Educational Association. Mr. Thomas was an avid sports fan.  Surviving is his wife Christie, 2 sons; Ron Thomas and wife Mary of Flint, Nick Thomas and wife Nicole of Grand Blanc; 3 grandchildren, Addison, Seth, and Noah.    Also surviving are his parents, Pete and Betty Thomas; a brother, Mike Thomas and wife DeLaine; niece Holly Richards; nephew, Michael Thomas and father and mother-in-law, Harry and Junis Wildfong; brother-in-laws, Louie Wildfong and wife Kathy and Scott Wildfong.  Private family services have been held.  Denniss family gives their special thanks to the U of M Cancer Centers staff for all of their wonderful care and support  Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers are being accepted by checks made payable to U of M Cancer Center at the Cancer Center Development Office at 301 E.
