Dennis Bruce SIMON

SIMON, Dennis Bruce, age 66, of Grand Blanc, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be 1PM Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Calvary Community Church, 1201 W. 12th St., Flint. Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettel officiating. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society. Dennis was born July 13, 1943 in Flint, the son of the late George and Hilda (Goodfellow) Simon. He married Lorraine Hildebrand in Flint on December 4, 1965. Dennis was a graduate of Southwestern High School, attended Mott Community College and was a veteran of the Air Force Reserve. He was employed as an engineer by General Motors until his retirement in 2006. Dennis enjoyed the warm climate of Florida, and took interest in computers, cars, photography and solving Suduko puzzles. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed dearly. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Lorraine; two daughters, Cassie White of Davison, Robbyn Castles (Roger) of Swartz Creek; two granddaughters, Elyssa Kelly and Olivia Castles; brother, George Simon (Nancy) of Florida; brother-in-law, Jerry Hildebrand (Patsy) of Florida; sister-in-law Janet Hildebrand of Fenton and several nieces and nephews.
