SCHEFFLER, Dennis Robert - 60, of Deerfield Twp., died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, March 5, 2009 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Rd., Howell with Fr. Gregg Pleiness celebrant. Interment will be follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Augustine Catholic Church. Mr. Scheffler was born August 7, 1948 in Monroe, MI, the son of Robert and Mary Ruth (Bushroe) Scheffler. He married Marjorie Dyar on September 25, 1970 in Farmington Hills and they have resided in Deerfield Twp. since 1984. Mr. Scheffler was a graduate of Waterford High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Wolverine Power and Equipment and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Surviving are: wife, Marjorie; four children, Colleen Reilly of Deerfield Twp., Daniel Scheffler of Deerfield Twp., Annette Scheffler of Wixom, Randy Scheffler of Gaines; 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon McCormick of Holly, Diane Slatton of Burton; five brothers, Kenneth Scheffler of Belleville, Blayne Scheffler of Lewiston, Robert Scheffler of Highland, Mark Scheffler of TN, Timothy Scheffler of TN.
