MESSENGER, Dennis Robert, Sr. - Age 69, of Linden, died Friday, November 11, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden. Fr. David Harvey officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society. Dennis was born November 24, 1946 in Flint, the son of Robert and Eleanor (Rossman) Messenger. He was a 1964 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. He met Annie (Lisa) Fredell twenty years ago and they were married October 25, 2006 in Las Vegas. He retired in 1996 from GM Chevrolet V-8 Engine Plant after 32 years of service. He was an active investor in real estate rental properties. Dennis had resided in Linden since 1968. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local 659. Surviving are: his wife, Annie (Lisa); son Dennis Robert Messenger, Jr. of Seattle, WA; step-son, Dennis Joseph Fredell of Seattle, WA; step-daughter, Rose Fredell of Flint; special granddaughter, Amara Jones of Linden; siblings, Philip (Barb) Rossman, Sharon (Joe) Moran, Brenda (Fred) Bell, and Gary Messenger; and several nieces and nephews.
