Dennis Ray Golden

GOLDEN, Dennis Ray  Age 54, of Flint Twp., died Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at McLaren Region Medical Center after a short illness. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held from 1-3 PM Sunday, August 28, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimers Association. Dennis was born March 13, 1951 in Flint, the son of Billie J. and Rebecca (Scobey) Golden. He was married to Sherry Hammond on October 31, 1996. Fall was his favorite time of year and he especially loved Halloween. Dennis enjoyed gardening and had already started planting mums. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson, which he did for many years.  He had worked for General Motors for 36 years. Surviving are: wife, Sherry; children, Dennis and wife Jennifer Golden of Phoenix, AZ, Melissa Golden of Flint, Joshua Golden of Scottsdale, AZ, Christine Lower of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Ariel (age 11), Alliyah (age 8) and Brennan (age 6); mother, Rebecca Golden; sisters, Darla Derwin of Davison, Denise Root of Davison; nephews and nieces, Tommy Derwin, David Derwin, Melinda Derwin and Kelsey Root.
