Dennis Fassett

FASSETT, Dennis Michael - Age 68, of Fenton, Michigan passed away July 5, 2022.  He was born November 21, 1953 in Cass City to Margaret (Churchill) and the late Donald Fassett. He graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1971 and went on to earn a degree in Architecture from Lawrence Tech University. While in college he earned money playing guitar and singing in a band called Starlights. He attended Michigan State University for one year before starting his career and was an avid Spartan fan. Dennis retired from Giffin, Inc. September 2021 where he worked as a Design Engineer in the automotive industry.

He had many hobbies and enjoyed the latest technology, antiques, gardening, cooking, listening to music, thrift shopping, and all musical instruments, especially guitars. He was quick to help anyone in need, could fix anything,
and always had just the right tool for the job. Dennis had a soft spot for animals and every stray that came near was met with a kibble and kind hand. His smile, good mood, humor and generosity will truly be missed by all who knew him, but especially his mother, Margaret Springstead with whom he shared a very close relationship. He will be greatly missed but his legacy of kindness and generosity endures forever.

Dennis is survived by: his wife Susan (Mora), mother Margaret Springstead, sister Sally Welch, mother-in-law Eleanor Mora, numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and close friends.

Preceded in death by his father and sisters Donna Schulze, Sharon Fassett and father-in-law Rudy Mora.

The family will welcome guests to Marsh Funeral Chapel, 2675 Main St., Marlette, MI 48453, on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Beginning at 12:00 PM a time of remembrance and celebration of Dennis' life will be held.
