Dennis Edward DAY

DAY, Dennis Edward - age 66, of Fenton, formerly of Redford Twp. died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 12 PM Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 5-8 PM Friday and 10 AM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Dennis was born January 10, 1943 in Cuyahoga County, OH, the son of Edward and Wanda (Schatzschneider) Day. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1964. Dennis married Pauline McNabb on July 25, 1975. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 2001 after 37 years and 1 day of service. Dennis was a member of the Fenton Eagles, Livonia Moose Club and the Livonia American Legion. He loved fishing and enjoyed the outdoors but most of all loved his family. Surviving are: the love of his life, wife, Pauline; three children, Mark Frentner of Fenton, Shawn (Kevin) Barrows of Redford, Ryan (Lisa) Day of Redford; grandson, McClain Barrows; brother, David (Karen) Day of Northville; sister, Dorothy (Gary) Schabacker of IL; niece and nephew, Joy and Jason.
