Dennis Berkey

BERKEY, Dennis Wayne - age 74, of Howell, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Angela Hospice in Livonia. Cremation has taken place. Dennis was born July 27, 1946 in Pontiac MI, the son of Henry Lewis and Donaldeen June (Harrison) Berkey. He married Anna Lee Forrest on September 3, 1966. Dennis retired from General Motors in Pontiac after 44 years of service. He was a very devoted member of West Highland Baptist Church for 43 years where he served as Head Usher and loved being the face welcoming all.  Spending time with his family and friends, gardening, woodworking and traveling were some of the things he enjoyed the most.  Surviving are: wife, Anna of Howell; two sons, Michael Wayne (Kimberly) Berkey of Montrose and Jacob Ryan Berkey of Howell; grandchildren, Katherine Marie Berkey and Robert McCormick III; brothers, Donald Lee (Cheryl) Berkey of Milford, Brian Travis (Sherry) of Walled Lake; sister-in-law, Gail Welker of Arkansas, nieces and nephews.
