In Loving Memory of Dennis Beckemeyer

Dennis Michael Beckemeyer, age 55, long time resident of Fenton, Michigan, passed away on September 30, 2024, at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc surrounded by loved ones. Cremation services are being handled by Sharp Funeral home, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake rd. in Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to Echo Christian Fellowship Church or Safe and Sound ministries to honor Dennis’ memory. At time of death, Dennis was able to donate to Gift of Life. 

Dennis was born on November 8, 1968 in Southfield, MI the son of Robert & Diana (Colton) Beckemeyer. He was a proud graduate of Fenton High School, Class of 1986, where he was well liked, and active in sports, especially standing out as a member of the FHS Varsity baseball team. Dennis attended Northwood Institute after high school. 

Dennis had a soft heart for others that suffered, especially animals. He went out of his way to provide food, water, and shelter for the stray cats in his community where he lived. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed listening to music. He spent his weekdays providing assistance to his parents, following his father’s stroke in January 2021. 

Dennis is survived by: his parents, Robert and Diana Beckemeyer. Siblings: Bob (Jennifer) Beckemeyer, Debbie (Bryan) McIntyre, Raymond (Kerry)Beckemeyer, and Pastor Rochelle Beckemeyer. Dennis also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews: God-daughter Jessica (Brian Brody) Brooks, Alexandra Beckemeyer, Erik McIntyre, Madeline (Chris Van Camp) McIntyre, Robert Beckemeyer, Tatum Beckemeyer, Riley Beckemeyer, Sabrina Westmorland. Great niece Emma Brody and great nephew Samuel Brody. Kathleen Quick’s family: Mother Naomi Quick. Her children: Nikole & Larry Puroll. Her grandchildren: Naomee Cruz, Chandler Puroll, Ann Marie Puroll. 

Dennis was preceded in death by the love of his life and best friend, Kathleen Quick. 

In accordance with Dennis' wishes, no public service is planned at this time.

Dennis Beckemeyer will forever be missed, and be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
