Dennis Adams Iii

Dennis W. Adams III aka Denny, Oakie, G-Daddy, age 72, of Flint, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 12PM at Sharp Funeral Home, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held the night before on Friday, December 9, 2022 starting at 4PM until 8PM and Saturday, December 10th at 11AM until the time of the funeral service at Sharp Funeral Home in Swartz Creek.

Dennis was born on September 19, 1950, to the late Dennis (Joyce) Adams in Flint, MI. He graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School in 1969. He was employed with General Motors Local 659 and retired after thirty years of service. He married Theresa on February 20, 1988, in Las Vegas. Together they enjoyed many trips to Maine, The Bahamas and Florida. Dennis was fond of garage sales, antique car shows, and just about anything that had to do with the great outdoors. He frequently worked on his own cars and always topped off the gas in his wife’s and granddaughters’ vehicles. He was a "gossip queen" and a prankster, but above all, he was an adoring husband and grandfather. Dennis will be greatly missed by his family and his close friends.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa; his four granddaughters, Felicia (Randy Attaway) Adams, Courtney Adams, Chelsea Hoyt and Amber Hoyt; adopted grandson, Mitch Carr; three precious great-grandchildren, Aiden Attaway, Layla Towers, and Amaya Holden; sister-in-law, Shirley Adams; nephew, Josh Adams; niece, Tonya (Carl) Trimble; aunt, Janice Lawrence; and stepbrother, Steve (Paula) Rainey. Dennis is further survived by many dear family members and friends, too numerous to list.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by stepfather, George Rainey; two sons, Dennis and Nathan; brother, Gary Adams; sister, Kim Williams; and grandson-in-law, Matt Towers.
