April 29, 1947 — July 4, 2016

SHANBURN, Dena Marie - age 69, of Fenton, died Monday, July 4, 2016. Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor Marty Schouse officiating. Interment will follow at Tyrone Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held 12 - 8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM - 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Dena Marie Shanburn Memorial Fund. Mrs. Shanburn was born April 29, 1947 in Pontiac, the daughter of Robert James and Vera Patricia (Ballard) Tompkins. She married Earl A. Shanburn on August 22, 1964 in Troy and he preceded her death on January 9, 1996. She retired from GMSPO where she worked in purchasing at the Headquarters in Grand Blanc. She had also worked for EDS and Perry Drugs. Dena was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Surviving are: two children, Nancy (Edward) Renwick, Robert (Angela) Shanburn, all of Tyrone Twp.; five grandchildren, Nicole (Alan) Easton, Cassidy Shanburn, Darian Shanburn, Brendan Shanburn, Mackenzie Renwick; great-grandson, Jackson Easton; mother, Vera Garoutte; three sisters, Marsha (Joe) Pfannes, Sydney (Charles) Billips, Doreen (Wayne) Bryson; special nieces and nephews, Todd Bryson, Casey (Stephanie) Bryson, Tabitha (Jonas) Fridriksson, and Eric Billips; many great-nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, friends, and co-workers. She was preceded in death by: her husband, her father; grandson, Jacob Renwick and niece, Tammy Billips.
