Delton Snider Jr.

SNIDER, Delton Benard Jr. - Age 65, of Linden, died January 14, 2016 after a year long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday and 11 AM until the time of service on Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Delton was born August 30, 1950 in Flint, the son of Delton Benard and Myron Lucille (Robertson) Snider and attended Linden Schools. He retired from Chevrolet Manufacturing in 1999. Delton was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed traveling and having breakfast at McDonald's on Thompson Road almost every morning. Delton was a gentle, caring man with a heart of gold and loved spending time with family and friends. Surviving are: son, Delton B. Snider III; siblings, Michael K. Snider, Pamela J. Walczak, Gregory M. Snider, Susan L. (Workman) Snider; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Borton in 1985; mother, Myron in 2002 and father, Delton Sr. in 2006.
