Delores Annette Reid

Delores Annette Reid (Holko), age 82, of Burton, passed away peacefully Thursday evening surrounded by her children and closest family in the comfort of her home. She was born in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of George and Catherine Holko (Cloutier). Delores graduated from St. Mary’s High School - Flint, and went on to beautician school. Delores was married to James John Reid for 46 wonderful years, and was the co-owner and president of Oliver Paint Mfg. Co. with him for 35 years. Delores loved spending time with her family and friends, had a fondness for her special places; Miller Lake, Traverse City, Black Mountain, NC, and the Gulf of Mexico. Delores was an accomplished artist across several mediums.

Delores is survived by her four children; Lynnda Squires (Nathan), Darren Reid (Tracy - deceased), Allyn Reid (Danielle), Terry Reid (Alyson), and a fifth sibling and special family friend Velika Brown (Carla - deceased). There are 11 grandchildren; Amanda, Ryan, Jenny Lynn, Hunter, Paige, Jamie, Mary Kate, Mallory, Margot, Elliot and Scarlet; 8 great-grandchildren; Gage, Colton, Acelynn, Carter Jean, Luella, Isabella, Kinsley, and Vincent. Also surviving are two siblings, Deb Oberman and Don Holko; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barb Colwell and brother, Andy Holko.

Cremation services have taken place at Sharp Funeral Home, Grand Blanc Twp., and a celebration of life party will be held at Miller Lake, summer 2025. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to offer a memorial gift, may consider The Old Newsboys of Flint. Delores’ family wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to friends and family who offered support through her end of life journey.
