Delores Hawley

HAWLEY, Delores Elaine (Martin) - Age 81, of Burton, died Monday, April 4, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, April 7th, at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 1 PM at the funeral home on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Arthritis Foundation. Delores was born May 21, 1934 in Flint, the daughter of Harrison and Frieda (Darkow) Martin. She was a 1952 graduate of Davison High School. Delores was married to Charles William Frederick Hawley on February 27, 1954. She worked as a secretary until Rheumatoid Arthritis began its cruel toll upon her suddenly in 1966. Despite that Dee always had the most positive spirit and attitude, she set the bar for the "Will To Live". Delores enjoyed visiting England, puzzles, and crocheting. Surviving are: son, Michael (Brigitte); grandchildren, Jennifer (Quenton), Aaron, Summer Ivy, and Sage Elaine; and sister, Francine (Richard).
