CRAMER, Deeann of Webberville, age 73, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at her home. She was born July 28, 1946 in Flint Michigan. Deeann excelled in school and graduated as Valedictorian of St. Matthew’s HS in 1964. She went on to earn Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Michigan State University. She taught at Lansing Everett High School where she became the first Female head of their Physical Education Department and was the girl’s gymnastics coach. Horses were the love of her life since an early age. She spent many years riding and was a nationally recognized dressage rider, winning events all over the US. At one point she was asked by the United States captain to try out for the United States Olympic Dressage Team. She purchased a farm in Webberville, Michigan and founded Encore Farms where she raised and trained Holsteiner horses, boarded horses and taught Dressage for many years. Deeann had a real love for all animals. She was an avid reader and had an ongoing thirst for learning and knowledge her entire life. She was strong willed and compassionate in a very caring way. Deeann was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Williamston. Deeann was preceded in death by her parents Dee & Louise Cramer and grandniece Stephanie Cramer. Surviving are brother, Dick Cramer and wife Judy of Fenton, MI, nephews Rich Cramer and wife Katie, Matt Cramer and wife Sharon, niece Kim Sundook and husband Jason. She was a loving great aunt to Alec, Nicole, Luke, Matthew, Stefan, and Miles Cramer and Sam, Ben and Zach Sundook. She is also survived by her amazon parrot Jasper and horse Destiny. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, June 4, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Williamston. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of Mass. Masks will be required at the church and proper social distancing will be practiced. Burial at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W.
