RASMOVICH, Deborah of Flint Township, passed away on May 31st in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born to David and Lucille Arnott, March 2, 1952 in Flint, Michigan. Deborah (Debbie) graduation from Swartz Creek High School in 1970 where she excelled in academics and athletics even being named the Senior Prom Queen. Debbie went on to Central Michigan University where she received her Bachelor’s and Master (plus 30) degrees in education. She married the late John Rasmovich on June 23, 1978 and lived in Flint Township until 2017 when Debbie moved to Louisville. Debbie is survived by her sons: Jason (Rebecca) and Michael (Sarah); sister Brenda Smith (Jeff); brother Dave Arnott (Debbie); and brother Rick Arnott (Lisa). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Easton, Isaac, Harper, and Carter. She is proceeded in death by her parents and her husband, John. Debbie was an advocate for education and it showed in her 33 year career teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade in the Mount Morris School District. When she was not in the classroom she could be found sitting on the deck reading a book or working hard on her other passion, gardening or “taking care of the flowers” as she was known to say. It was her passion for children and their education that pushed her into teaching and kept her going for all those years in the classroom. Knowing that somehow she would make an impact on her students is what she wanted her legacy to be. A celebration of life will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430 on July 9, 2022 from 11-1.
