Dawn M. Ruby

Dawn M. Ruby, age 49, of Lennon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Visitation will be held starting at 10am until the Funeral Service at 1pm on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. She was born on June 16, 1974 to Garry & Marie Wilhelm in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Durand High School class of 1993. Dawn married Scott on October 14, 1995 and together they were blessed with their two children, Megan and Zackery.

There was nothing more important in life to Dawn than her granddaughter, Lillian. Dawn looked after Lillian by getting her off to school every morning and watching her during the summer months. Dawn, Scott and Lillian went on many adventures together of which most were up at the family cottage. Dawn was happiest when she was entertaining her family outdoors on the patio, cooking on her Blackstone Grill. In her free time,  she might of crocheted or simply enjoyed her back patio.  

Dawn is survived by her loving husband, Scott Ruby; her two children, Megan (Carl Kelley) Ruby and Zackery Ruby; the pride and joy of her life -granddaughter, Lillian Ruby; her parents, Garry (Marie) Wilhelm; brother, David (Kasey Schnieder) Wilhelm and mother-in-law, Ruth Pagan. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Patricia & Orvall and Dale & Betty; fathers-in-law, Chuck Ruby and Rick Pagan and her dog, Sable.
