ZIMMERMAN, David Lee - age 68 of Clare, formerly of Flint, died Monday, July 16, 2012. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice. Mr. Zimmerman was born October 7, 1943 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, the son of Walter Eli and Eva May (Smith) Zimmerman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam. He retired from Buick and spent his retirement in Clare. David is survived by his sister, Gladys (Tom) Parker; nephew, James Davison; nieces, Judith Davison, Rachel (Julien David) Parker and Erica (David) Casteel; special friends, George and Jolyn Milligan. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judith Zimmerman. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint.
