David Wood

WOOD, David John "Woody" - Age 65, of Flint, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, March 17 at the Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. with Pastor Bob Coen officiating. Visitation will be held 3-7 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Wood was born February 2, 1942 in Flint the son of James and Laura (Most) Wood. He married Gay N. McLaren February 3, 1968 in Alpena. He served in the U.S. Air Force during Viet Nam. Mr. Wood was employed by General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1995 and was a member of UAW Local 659. He also worked for Manheim's Auto Auction. Surviving are his wife, Gay N. Wood of Flint; 2 daughters; Amy Wood, and Lisa Wood, both of Flint; 2 sisters-in-law; Sandra Wood of Mt. Morris, and Marjorie Wood of Florida; many nieces and nephews.
