David L. Watkins

WATKINS, David L. - age 76, of Fenton passed away April 4, 2025. A Celebration of David's Life will take place from 1:00PM-3:00 PM Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Marge and Dave's house. Cremation arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Memorial contributions in David's memory would be appreciated to any Pet Rescue Organization.

David was born October 21, 1948, in Owosso. He married Marjorie J. McMorris in Owosso on March 4, 1972. David graduated from Durand High School where he was a member of the Football Team. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps during the Viet Nam War. David retired as a Supervisor with Consumers Energy Company after 41 years of service. He was known as "Mr. Fix It,"as he was everyone's "Go-To-Guy!" David was a great teacher, father, and husband.

David is survived by, his wife of 53, years, Marjorie: daughters, Teresa Wilbanks, Tracey West-Smith (Brett Smith), and Missy Watkins (Keith Cunningham); grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, Jessie Jo, Josh, Jake, Leo, Sophie, Max, and Madeline; great grandbaby, Aila; siblings, Jack Watkins (Sandy), Larry Watkins (Vicki), Sandy Watkins, Ronnie Watkins, Jeanie Moreno, and Bill Timlick (Tammy); several nieces and nephews; his beloved pets, Squeeky, Sugar, Dani, Bear, Chow, Brandi, Benji, Cookie, and Trouble. David's family would like to express their gratitude to The Burton D.A.V. Post for their kind support, and to Davison McLaren Hospice for their care of David.
