David A. Smolarek

SMOLAREK, David A.- Age 77, of Fenton, formerly of Ortonville, passed away, December 20, 2023. A Celebration of David's Life will take place at a later date. 

David was born April 21, 1946 in Detroit, the son of Alexander and Jane (Prazuch) Smolarek. He married Louise A. Michelin in Cheboygan on January 19, 1974. David graduated from Cody High School and later E.M.U.
He was employed as a Junior High teacher with the Birmingham School District for 37 years, retiring in 2005. David enjoyed boating, golfing, and fly fishing on the Pere Marquette River and salmon fishing with Adam and Joel on Lake Huron. He also enjoyed hunting deer and pheasant.

David is survived by, his wife, Louise; sons, Adam (Martha) Smolarek, and Joel Smolarek; grandchildren, Hayden, and Luke; sister, Sandra (Frank) Poszywak; and several nieces and nephews.
