REED, David A. - Age 78, of Linden, died June 5, 2017. Services will be held 1 PM Monday, June 12, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to DAV. David was born May 28, 1939 in Flint, the son of Robert A. and Elsie Lois (Hamann) Reed. He was a veteran of the US. Marine Corp and U.S. Army. David retired from UPS in 1998 after 36 years of service. He was a very loving and considerate family man. He served in the military with pride and respect. David enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking and fishing with his wife, Janet. He is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Linda M. Vasas, Patricia A. Keeth, Lori K. Birkatz, Daniel J. Reed; step-daughters, Julie Morse and Jennifer Rasak; grandchildren, Alexandra, Trevor, Jayme, Melissa and Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Donavan, Nevaeh, Mikey and Olivia; sisters, Virginia (Sam) Corner, Carol (Bill) Stover, Mary (Dave) Kanous; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Daisy.
