David Persyn

PERSYN David Cyril -- Age 90, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday May 21, 2017. A Graveside service will be held 1:30 PM Tuesday May 30 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4600 Belford Rd., Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Homecare Group, 1515 Cal Drive, Davison. David was born September 23, 1926 in Flint the son of Cyril and Aploinia M. (Van Eeickhotte) Persyn. He resided in Swartz Creek most of his life. He was a Veteran of the U.S Navy serving in WWII. He retired from the GM Plant #4 with 30 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local 659. David was a Antique car buff. He had a creative mind and enjoyed inventing many things. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Brad) Kusky of Swartz Creek; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Kathleen (Harley) Jackson of Swartz Creek; many nieces and nephews; caregiver for 7 years, Connie Jorgensen of Swartz Creek; 4 legged companion, Lucky.
