David was born October 29, 1952 in Owosso, the son of Ernest and Shirley (Murphy) Perina. He was a graduate of Owosso High School. He married Jacqueline Sue Sigler April 19, 1997 in Las Vegas, NV. He had resided in Swartz Creek for the past year coming from Flint Township. David retired from GMSPO where he was a Chairman for U.A.W. Local 659. He enjoyed hunting, food plotting, spending time at his hunting and lake properties and most of all spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his grand dogs, Lilly and Cooper.
Surviving are: his wife, Jacqueline; sons, Ernest Perina of Flint, Timothy (Alisha) Perina of Flint, Daniel Perina of New York and Randy Skaggs of Mt. Morris Township; daughter, Candy Skaggs of Flint Township; grandchildren, Joshua Skaggs, Kassandra Bice and Rachelle Bice; great grandchildren, Makinna, Demetrius, Zakiyah and Zelda; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Perina; mother, Shirley Ritter; grandson, Johnathon Skaggs; and brothers, Gary, Tom and Bill Perina. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
