PARKS, David Warren  Age 66, of Burton, died Thursday, June 3, 2004 at Hurley Medical Center. Services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Phillip M. Tharp officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Sunday and Monday at the funeral home. A Masonic memorial service will be held 7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Davis was born August 8, 1937 in Flint, the son of Clyde A. and Blythe F. (Hager) Parks. He married Ginette Gipson in 1968 and she preceded him in death in January 2003. His father also preceded him in death in December 1982. Mr. Parks was a member of the Armed Forces serving in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Navy. Mr. Parks retired from General Motors in 1997 after 25 years of service at Otterburn (Swartz Creek) Parts Plant and 10 years at Pontiac Service and Parts Operations. He was a member of Swartz Creek F & AM #458. Surviving are: five children, Joel and wife, Mary of Crossville, TN, Scott and wife, Peggy of Burton, Susan Roton of Canal Winchester, OH, Marie Mulherin and husband, Michael of Otisville, Tavis and wife, Harmony of Kalamazoo; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; mother, Blythe Parks of Flint; three brothers, Roger Parks and wife, Kathy of Lakeland, FL, Richard Parks and wife, Nina of Burton, Paul Parks and wife, Linda of Kalamazoo; loving companion, Eleanor Bobrowski and her family.
