David Owen PARKER

PARKER, David Owen, age 72, of Owosso, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Owosso Memorial Healthcare. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, 9252 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Fr. Gene Geromel officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. In Lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made to St. Bartholomew Church. David was born January 13, 1939 in Durand the son of the late Leslie and Annie (Rounds) Parker. He married Judith H. Kozan in Durand on July 30, 1960. David served his country in the Reserves from 1958 - 1964. He was employed by G.M. Fisher Body North and at Buick City for 33 years until his retirement. He was also a member of U.A.W. Local 599. David enjoyed camping and spending time with his grandsons. Surviving are his wife Judith of Owosso; son, David Parker (Kathryn) of Vernon; 2 daughters, Andrea Parker of Durand, Karen Heft (Todd) of Ohio; grandsons, Jon and Michael Parker, Parker Heft; sister, Joyce Griffin of Gladwin; 2 brothers-in-law, Larry Meehlee of Gladwin, Richard Kozan (Kathy) of Owosso and many nieces and nephews.
