Morse, David Glen -- Age 81, of Shelby Township, formerly of Fenton, died Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at William Beaumont Hospital, Troy. Â Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, December 29, 2003 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Â Pastor David Mulder officiating. Â Burial in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek. Â Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road 1-4 and 6-9 PM Saturday and Sunday; and at the church from 10AM until time of service Monday. Â Those desiring may make contributions to Fenton United Methodist Church. Â Mr. Morse was born February 2, 1922 in Flint, the son of Fredrick and Rena (Andrews) Morse. Â He married Viola Mae Fischer September 27, 1947 in Flint, and she preceded him in death April 12, 2000. Â He had resided in Shelby Township the past 3 years coming from Fenton. Â He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Â He retired from AC Spark Plug in 1984 with 42 years service and was a member of U.A.W. Local 651. Â He was also a member of Fenton United Methodist Church, D.A.V. Genesee #3, Blue Angels Association and was a honorable member of Continental Air Show Productions. Â Surviving are: Â 2 children, David John and wife Wilma Morse of Flint, Renae and husband Dennis Jorrey of Shelby Township; 3 grandchildren, Curt Jorrey, Philip and wife Amy Jorrey ,all of Sterling Heights, Carrie Jorrey of Rochester Hills; great-grandson, Trey; brother, Albert and wife Mae Morse of Traverse City; sister-in-law, Delores Fischer of Fenton; many nieces and nephews.
