David Lee Marsh

David Lee Marsh, 77, passed away on February 7, 2025, at McLaren Hospital in Flint, Michigan. Great Lakes Cremation Services of Michigan will perform cremation and per David’s request, no formal services will be held. 

David was born on September 4, 1947, in Indianola, Mississippi to the union of Talcum and Charlotte Marsh. He was the tenth of twelve children. He graduated from the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic High School in St Louis, MO. Since the eighties, David has been a resident of Clio, MI where he lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to family, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

David spent many years working at GM Delphi until retirement, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to his profession. Outside of work, he found joy in nature, embracing hunting, fishing, and gardening. An avid collector, David had a fascination with collecting and re purposing items, finding new life in things others might overlook. 

David is survived by his beloved wife, Betty; his children, Jonathan (Kelly) and Amelia; his granddaughter, Maya; his siblings, Samuel, George (Joyce), John, Lela Joyce Nixon, and Betty (Leslie) Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family members, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Talcum and Charlotte Marsh; his brothers, Talcum Marsh Jr., Earl, and Alexander; his sisters, Ethel Lee Miller, Dorothy Jean Seay, and Bertha Smith.

David’s love for life was evident in his outgoing nature and enthusiasm for the great outdoors. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and he will be deeply missed.
