MAQUET, David R. Jr.- Age 50, of Byron, died Thursday, October 21, 2010 at his residence, surrounded by his family. A service will be held 1PM Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the David R. Maquet Memorial Fund through the State Bank of Fenton. David was born March 2, 1960 in Saginaw the son of David and Maryann (Raby) Maquet. He served in the US Navy as a Sea Bee from 1978-1984 with the rank of E3. In 2007 he married Tammy McDonald. He loved hunting, fishing and hanging out with his buddies in his barn. Above all, David was a family man, he enjoyed spending time with them and loved them all very much. He leaves behind his wife, Tammy Maquet and step-daughter, Hollie Creech, both of Byron; sister, Debra and husband John Day of New York; brother, Dane and wife Amanda Maquet of New York; sister, Heather and husband James Elarde of Chicago, IL; mother, Maryann Schmidt of Fenton; nieces and nephews; T.J. Kephart, Courtney Kephart, Amanda Kephart, Brandon Maquet, Jordyn Day, and Baylee Maquet; great nephew, Carter Kephart "his chebubski"; mother and father in law, Mike and Pat McDonald of South Lyon; brother in law, Michael and wife Carolyn McDonald of Byron and their children, Mindy and Serena Swain. David also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Pippy, Abigail and Whiskie. He was preceded in death by his father, David R. Maquet, Sr. and uncle, Frank J. Raby.
