LUDWIG, David Lee - Age 68, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, June 6, 2020. Private services will take place. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. David was born on October 3, 1951 in Flint, Michigan, the son of William Henry and Bernice (Podpora) Ludwig. He graduated from Flint Southwestern High School, Class of 1969. David and Linda Wenzlick were united in marriage in 1970 in Flushing, Michigan. He worked as a supervisor for General Motors V8 Engine for 49 years before his retirement in 2019. David was an avid Ham Radio Operator and a self-taught, knowledgeable computer hobbyist. By reading a book, he learned to water ski. He loved spending time with his family, whether it was watching his son expertly skateboard with friends on the backyard ramp he built, watching his daughter skillfully and professionally handle birds and dogs, observing his granddaughter work toward her dream to become a nurse, or admiring the latest beautiful quilt sewn by his wife. His soft heart always welcomed the newest pet addition to the family. He quietly delighted in seeing his generosity bring joy and bear fruit. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Ludwig; two children, Angela Ludwig and Matthew Ludwig; granddaughter, Mallory Ludwig; sister, Gay Lee Ludwig-Bonney (Robert Bonney); nephew, Bradford Bonney; and two nieces, Julia Bonney and Elizabeth Bonney. David was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bernice Ludwig. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
