David Wilbur Lavrack

LAVRACK, David Wilbur- Age 63, of Linden, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Avalon Hospice.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-9 PM Monday and 1-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice, 2360 Stone Bridge Dr., Flint, MI  48532.  Mr. Lavrack was born November 8, 1943 in Burt, the son of Wilbur E. and Ella L. (Arnold) Lavrack.  He married Dorothy L. Farr January 15, 1994 in Mt. Morris.  He had resided in Linden since 1994, coming from Burton.  He retired in 2001 from GM Cadillac Metal Fab. in Grand Blanc after 35 years of service.  He was a member of Mt. Morris Church of Christ and also was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  He loved children, traveling and the outdoors.  Surviving are:  wife, Dorothy of Linden; 2 daughters, Susie and Deanna both of Flint; son, David, Jr. of Flint; 3 step-children, John and wife Wendy Willoughby of Texas, Elizabeth Willoughby of Blue Bell, PA, Jennifer Palsgrove of Canton, MI; 4 grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kimber, Kassey and Andrew; 1 great grandchild, Star; mother, Ella Lavrack; 4 sisters, Lillian, Jeanette, Dorothea and Lorna; 6 brothers, Robert, Donald, Richard, Roger, Thomas and Mark; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by: daughter, Paula; father, Wilbur Lavrack; sister, Susan.  Tributes or condolences may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
