David Jory

JORY, David Lyle- Age 88, of Flint, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 3PM-8PM Monday and 10AM until time of service Tuesday. David was born on February 12, 1930 in Saginaw, the son of the late Theron and Edna (Wheeler) Jory. David proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was self employed as a well driller and co-owner of Metamora Water Service for 35 years. Surviving are: son, Rodger (Sue) Jory of Clio; grandchildren, Tracie (Tom) Cichoracki of Finland, Dana (Terry) Paige of Flushing, David (May) Jory of Flint, Jamie Jory of CA; several great grandchildren; step-daughter, Christy Parker of MS. David is also survived by his long time friend and business partner, Jim Carroll and long time friend and secretary, Stacy Preville. He was preceded also in death by son, Douglas Jory; brother Theron Jory; sister, Neda Rice; brother, Delbert Jory; and long time companion, Greeta King.
