David Hollenbeck

HOLLENBECK, David Joseph -- Age 51, of Gaines, died May 11, 2016. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Tuesday May 17 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 700 Columbia Drive, Durand. Fr. Jonathan Perrotta officiating. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held 1 -7 PM Sunday, 1-9 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Monday. Visitation will also be held 9:30 AM until time of mass at the church on Tuesday. David was born August 23, 1964 in Howell the son of David L. and Mary Lynn (Cox) Hollenbeck. He married Marlene Stoeckl on October 20, 1984. David graduated from Byron High School in 1982. and graduated from DeVry in 1985. David was employed at Buick Engineering from 1986-1998, and then started working for FCA Chrysler in 1998 until current. David is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marlene "Marty"; 2 daughters, Charley , Jamie (Zak) Scott; grandson, Ryker Joseph Scott; parents, David L. and Mary Lynn Hollenbeck; 2 siblings, Jayne (Arthur) Dabu, John Hollenbeck (Fiance' Christine Howell); many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Florian "Shorty" Hollenback, Barbara Hollenback, Rebecca Hollenback, Wardell Cox, Mary Cox; aunts and uncles, Dale Cox, Linda Hollenbeck, Paul and Karen Hollenbeck; cousins, Daniel Hogan and Steve Smith.
