David Haeger

HAEGER, David William, age 80, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, November 15, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 4 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, 2 PM to 8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM until the time of service Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the ALS of Michigan - Lou Gehrig's Disease. David was born on December 12, 1938 in Flint, the son of Carl and Almina (Hayes) Haeger. He graduated from Flint Tech., class of 1957. David was united in marriage in 1957 to Dorothy his first wife and mother of their 5 children. He worked for 25 years for Knoblock's Hardware and for 23 years for Mid State's Bolt and Screw before his retirement in 2010. He and Martha Carlson were united in marriage on September 28, 2002 in Flint. David was a member of the Court Street United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Martha; 4 children, Denise (Rick) Frost, David Haeger, Diane (J.R.) Householder and Dawn (Jeff) Johnson; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his daughter, Dory Haeger; first wife, Dorothy; brother, Bob; and parents Carl and Almina. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
