David Paul Guthrie

GUTHRIE, David Paul - Age 65, of Flint, formerly of West Bloomfield, died Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, December 27 at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, G-7234 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, with Pastor Will Stenke officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the service time at the church on Wednesday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Avalon Hospice, 2360 Stonebridge Dr., Flint, MI 48532. David was born June 12, 1941 in Detroit, the son of William Warren Guthrie and Virginia (Fries) Guthrie. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from Pontiac Motors. He was an active member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church and an avid sports enthusiast. He is survived by his sister, Judi and husband Jim Davidson of Swartz Creek; nephew, Stephen Beckner; nieces, Wendy Davis, Molly Pavwoski and Melissa Ventura. He was preceded in death by his parents.
