David Gillmore

GILLMORE, David Lee - Age 72, of Flushing, passed away March 15, 2020. A private memorial service will be held. Public visitation will be held at 10AM - 11AM Friday June 12 at Mayfair Bible Church 5339 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing. Pastor Michael Breznau, and Pastor Dean Stewart officiating. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Mayfair Bible Church or Camp Barakel.

David was born May 30, 1947 in Flint, the son of John and Margaret (Kennedy) Gillmore. He attended Hamady High School , and received a BA and MBA at Michigan State University. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He married Judith Howison in Flint May 29, 1976. He was employed with the City of Flint Assessment Division. He was a Richfield Township Assessor. He also worked at the Genesee County Equalization Department. He was very involved with Mayfair Baptist Church, Flushing-deacon, Elder. He was the director of AWANA Sparks. He enjoyed music, old cars, Spartan Football and Basketball and traveling. He is survived by: wife, Judy; children, Sarah (Tim) Aspin, of Flushing, Matthew (Kristen) Gillmore, of West Virginia and Laura (Cory) Neuenschwander of Indiana; grandchildren, Cydney, Cody, Caleb Aspin, Anthony, Carolyn, Emma Gillmore, Ella, and Eli Neuenschwander; brother, Jerry Gillmore; many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by: parents; son, Anthony Michael Gillmore; sister, Elaine Brown. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
