GEAR, David Sheridan - Age 82, of Flint, was carried to heaven in the early morning hours of Saturday July 27, 2019, with his daughter holding his hand. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday August, 2 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Aaron Whitman officiating. Visitation will be held 11AM until time of service on Friday. David was born July 6, 1937 in Flint, the son of the late Bernard and Margareite (Kalb) Gear. David was a brilliant but humble man. He designed many tools for General Motors and himself to help others. He was a master mechanic by trade, and was very skilled in wood working and electronics that he learned at a very young age through his mentor, grandfather Wilson. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughters, Patsy Carter, Annette (Rick) Yannuzzi, Denise (Dean) Miller and Lori Taylor; son, Matthew Gear; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. David was greeted in heaven with Jesus by daughter, Elizabeth; son, David; infant granddaughter, Chloe Elizabeth and granddaughter Darla.
