David Francis Ii

David Earl Francis, age 42, of Flushing, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 as a result of an automobile accident. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, 1PM at Sharp Funeral Home, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 1-8PM, and also on Wednesday 11AM until the time of the service. David was born on September 21, 1980, in Flint, Michigan to David & Teresa Francis. He was a 1998 graduate of Flint Southwestern High School. David worked with his father, David Francis Sr, in their family business, David Francis Construction. David was an exceptionally talented roofer and took great pride in his projects and working with his hands. He was a man of few words, but he was a natural born leader and through the family business he was given the opportunity to train others how to roof. David absolutely enjoyed antiques and collecting strange and eclectic oddities. He was a fan of the show American Pickers and even visited their shop in Tennessee. David looked forward to decorating for the holidays, and his favorite was Halloween. He was a man of many talents especially when it came to home. He was very proud of the restoration work he performed on his house. He built doors, furniture, landscaped, kept up flower gardens and collected numerous bird houses for the yard. He was fond of animals, and loved his dog Miss Piggy dearly. David was a talented cook and loved making dishes for his son, Conner. David was also a connoisseur of fine whiskey. Above all David was a hard-working father who loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his father, David (Lori Plumb-Mckay) Francis Sr.; his mother, Teresa (Scott) VanNess; son, Conner and his mother, Trisha; sister, Kimberly (Jeremy) Thibault. David is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends too numerous to list. David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles (Nancy) Stafford and Bud Francis and his cousin, Christopher Wheeler.
