David Doering

DOERING, David William - Age 77, of Flint, died October 6, 2018. Funeral service will be held 1PM Saturday October 13 at Grace Lutheran Church 2526 Corunna Rd. Flint. Visitation will be held 12PM Saturday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to The Hospice House Of Shiawassee County. David was born April 7, 1941 the son of John and Anna (Hirschenberger) Doering. He married Janet Thalhammer on December 31, 1960 in Flint. David enjoyed hunting, boating, collecting deer figurine's. Loved watching and spending time with his grandchildren. He retired from V8 engine plant with 40 years of service. David was a member of U.A.W. Local 659 and a member of Grace Lutheran Church for over 30 years. He worked at Auto City Speedway for 25 years and also enjoyed taking care of his 2 cats Erika and Ollie. Surviving are: wife of 57 years, Janet Doering of Flint; daughters, Sherry (Dave) Money of North Carolina, Lisa (Gary) Angle of Flint; grandchildren, April,Casey, William, Candi, Katherine, Cody and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Bonnie Doering of Clio; many nieces and nephews and special friends Hoss (Charlotte) Kruger of Central Lake.
