SMITH, David Dale - Age 60, of Mt. Morris, died Friday, June 2, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-8 PM and Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. David was born August 27, 1956 in Paragould, AR, the son of Harry D. and Marilyn J. (Mays) Smith. He was a 1976 graduate of Linden High School. He married Christine L. Christle January 3, 2014 in Mt. Morris. David retired from GM Orion Assembly after 32 years of service. He had resided in Mt. Morris for the past 6 years coming from Clio/Swartz Creek. He loved golf and motorcycles. Surviving are: his wife, Christine; children, Kristal Shamma (Jay Jay Wheeler) of St. Petersburg, FL, Jeffery Smith of Mt. Morris, and Michael Smith of Mt. Morris; grandchildren, Sahara, Armani, Jax, and Paisley; parents, Harry and Marilyn Smith of Swartz Creek; siblings, Barbara DeCaire of Flushing, Deborah (Larry) Cross of Gaines, Jodi Stiles of Swartz Creek, and Terry (Kelly Knag) Smith of Cape Coral, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
