SMITH, David C. - age 70, of Fenton, died on July 27, 2014. Services will be held 4:30 PM Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be held 3 PM until time of service Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to University of Michigan in memory of David Smith to support Liver Transplant Program, UMHS Medical Development, 1000 Oakbrook Suite 100 Ann Arbor MI 48104-6815. Mr. Smith was born January 5, 1944 in Detroit, MI, the son of Everett Alvin and Cleora Ruth (Gibbs) Smith. David was a private pilot and was a member of Flint Arrowhead Barber Shop Chorus. He loved to golf with Jack. David is survived by his significant other, Cathy Giessel; sister, Janet (Ed) Smith; brother, Bill Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.
