David Eugene ALLEN

ALLEN, David Eugene - Age 56, of Fenton, died Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Funeral services will be held 11:00 Friday, October 8, 2010 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek. Fr. Steve Mattson celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden Thursday from 2-9 PM and at church Friday from 10:00 AM until time of Mass. A vigil service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. David was born March 24, 1954 in Flint, the son of Herman and Opal (Cheney) Allen. He was a 1972 graduate of Mt. Morris High School. He retired as a journeyman electrician from Delphi, Flint. David was a former member of the Knight of Columbus St. Pius Council #8245 and was a collegiate Soccer Referee. Surviving are: 2 sons, Matthew Allen of Lansing and Michael Allen of Chicago, IL; his son's mother and partner of 30 years, Linda Allen of Fenton; brother, Jim and wife Cindy Allen of Linden; sister, Rita and husband Jerry Burton of Flint; uncle, Elvie Mellan of Linden; several nieces and nephews.
