STORMS, Darwin Arthur - age 76, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Avalon Hospice. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, November 2, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Gene Geromel, SSC officiating. Interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Linden Lions Club or Avalon Hospice. Mr. Storms was born October 17, 1933 in Flint, the son of Lester and Ida (Conner) Storms. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Storms married Mary Ringler on December 29, 1955 in Clio. He retired from the City of Flint Police Department in 1986 as a Sergeant. Mr. Storms was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Linden Lions Club. Surviving are: wife, Mary; four children, David (Jackie) Storms of OH, Jeff (Theresa) Storms of Swartz Creek, Linda K. Storms of Swartz Creek, Craig (Linda) Storms of Lennox, MI; two grandchildren, Daniel Storms of OH and Ashley Lynn Storms of Lennox; two brothers, Delbert Storms, Norman (Donna) Storms; sister, Evelyn (Earl) Rollyson; many nieces and nephews.
