WENDELL, Darrell James - age 46, of Shepherdsville, KY, formerly of Linden died March 15, 2010. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, March 26, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. The family will receive friends form 10 AM until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship with Christ Ministry, 5815 Mt. Everest Dr., Louisville, KY 40218. Darrell was born October 1, 1963 in Portsmouth, VA, the son of Glenn A. and Patricia A. (Palmer) Wendell. He was a graduate of Linden High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an active volunteer with Christ Homeless Ministries in Louisville, KY. Surviving are: son, Shawn Herbert of Linden; mother, Patricia A. Wendell of Linden; brother, Dale Wendell of Linden; sister, Becky (Mike) Moreau of Flint; nephew, Derek Wendell of Flint; companion, Kimberley Johnson of Shepherdsville, KY; many aunts and uncles.
