ROSE, 'Bud' Darrell LeRoy, age 84, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be held 1PM Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 3408 Miller Rd., Flint. Rev. Don Albright officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held Monday 5-9PM and Tuesday 10AM-3PM and 5-9PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Rd. Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek. Bud was born January 17, 1922 in St. Cloud Minnesota, the son of Alton and Elta (Welch) Rose. He married Barbara R. Field  on May 25, 1946 in Flint and she preceded him in death in 1982. Bud was an Army Veteran of WWII serving under General Patton, 318 Infantry, 80th Division. He was a classic car enthusiast, loved bowling, singing and woodworking. Bud was employed by Carman-Ainsworth Schools for 33 years. Surviving are his 5 children, Carol Bishop of Swartz Creek, Arnold Rose (Carolyn) of Swartz Creek, Darlene Clark (Thomas) of Catlin, Illinois, Edward Rose (Nora) of Gaines, Mary Meyer (Steven) of St. James, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren, Melanie, Brian, Michal, David, Carrie, Cindy, Andy, Ashleigh, Amanda, Kelly, Dustin, Christopher, Justin, Keith, Lance, Mitchell; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way; 2 sisters, Shirley Ybarra of Flint, Betty Hamilton of Drayton Plains. He also was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Meredith; great-granddaughter, Iris; 2 sisters, Arvella and Carol.
