NEMECEK, Darlene Kay -- Age 68, of Swartz Creek, died October 2, 2018. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, October 10 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. Our temporary location at Hill Creek Church 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek ( Mundy Township). Burial will be 10AM Wednesday October 17 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Visitation will be 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Tuesday October 9 and again Wednesday October 10 from 9AM until time of service at Hill Creek Church. Darlene was born January 4, 1950 in Flint the daughter of Ralph and Beatrice (Hatherly) Heck. She married Henry "Hank" Nemecek in Flint on September 27, 1980; he preceded her in death March 6, 2008. Darlene owned and operated DJ's Beauty Boutique for many years, and Hank and Dons for many years. She enjoyed hunting. She loved cooking and loved to feed people. She loved the lake and pontoon rides. She is survived by her daughter, Tonya and husband Dennis Lamb of Twin Lake MI.; grandsons, Grant, Gunner and Garrett; sister, Pam Heck of Davison; niece, Nicole Johnson of Grand Blanc; significant other, Buck O'Conner; and Bucks children, Bill O' Conner, Pat O'Conner, Kerry Parson, Shannon Alston; and Bucks grand daughter, Haley Parson.
