Darla Ann Oxley

OXLEY, Darla Ann - Age 91, of Fenton, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023.  Per Darla's request cremation has taken place and her burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Compasses Hospice or put a bird feeder out, plant a tree or feed a stranger.  

Darla was born January 2, 1932 in Fenton, the daughter of Wesley and Anna (Turner) Goss.  She was a 1950 graduate of Fenton High School.  She married Robert Paul Oxley June 13, 1953 in Fenton and he preceded her in death October 29, 2011.  She was a self-employed hairdresser for many years.  Darla had resided in the Fenton area her entire life; she would spend the winter in Florida and enjoyed her cabin on the Rifle River in Standish in the summer.  She enjoyed shopping, traveling, working in her yard and most of all spending time with her family.  

Surviving are: her children, Rebecca Taylor and Steve Oxley both of Fenton and Ramona (Chuck) Campbell of Standish; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Paul Oxley, Jr.; and brothers, Dale, Gene and Jack Goss.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
