GREEN, Danny Carl - Age 70, of Linden, died Sunday, June 23, 2019. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Friday, June 28, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Pastor Mark Cox officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 12 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be held 12:30 PM Friday, July 5 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Linden V.F.W. Price Crane Robinson Post #4642. Danny was born August 28, 1948 in Garden City, the son of Carl Walter and Althera Olive (Ranney) Green. He was a 1966 graduate of Linden High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Navy as a signalman. He retired from Spartan Stores as a truck driver. Danny was a member of the Linden V.F.W. Price Crane Robinson Post #4642. He also was a member of EAA and AOPA. He was a volunteer for the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum USS Edson and the Warbirds of Glory Museum/Sandbar Mitchell Restoration project. Surviving are: his wife, Kathleen; children, Joelle (Michael) Green-Forbes of Fenton, Robert Green of Linden, Christy (Curtiss) Harper of Linden, Jennifer (Erick) Ward of Linden; grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Kyle, Kelsey, and Erick; great grandson, Liam; sister, Sue (Dean) Behrens of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
